Rice, Rice Rice!!!
SWC Deja Vu... Rice has the same record as Texas Tech AND they are headed to a bowl for the first time in 45 years - the 1961 Bluebonnet Bowl! However, it was not often in the SWC, if ever, that TCU had the best record in the state of Texas...

Bad things happen in Lubbock...

Hmmmm....
Wow, I am looking at this middle section and laughing.
There is definitely a theme here, huh?
Anyway, if you want to know what time it is, Click Here!

Zero U
Only at an OU hosted Red River Rivalry... does row 0 come first. What should have I really expected from Zero U? Anyway, no real complaints - it was fun hecking the over-cocky Sooner players (most of which never even got into the game) who were showing their "down with the horns" handsign those few brief moments OU had it going on on the field.

Current Rants

There is always one!

One stinking old Southwest Conference rivalry that sneaks up and beats Tech. Not that it was a major surprise that TCU could pull off the win - they were ranked higher. But the game did not have a single touchdown. They scored four field goals and we only scored one field goal... are you kidding me?

* Denotes a Bowl Game

BOWL WRAP UP
It should be noted that all original SWC teams went to a bowl except SMU and Baylor. As for performance, it was bleak. However, the old SWC bettered the Big XII by one game. The original SWC teams went 3 and 4 with the Big XII throwing up a 3 and 5 (with two of those wins by Texas and Tech - long live the SWC!).
